Jimenez-Mesquite Assignment #4 NP

What kind of photo did i expect from this assignment?

I had expected to get an action photo.  I expected to get a photo that captured the story of my interviewee Don Wright.

what worked?

I really think that this is a very stoic picture.  Which is what I wanted to capture.  Don Wright has an amazing story!

what did not work?

I don't like the hook by his neck.  I know that also will bother you.  I took only two or three photos of that pose.  If that was the shot I was looking for I should have taken 25 photos with different angles.

what could have been better?

I would have liked to have gotten an action photo, and certainly I didn't think outside the box.  I could have taken Mr. Wright outside the building and easily taken photos of him running or warming up.

Why was this not published, and why should it have been?

Again this is a photo that I feel should have been published.  It was also put in Ashley's folder in time for publishing.  This is the story I produced for FOX, and the story that I offered to write for The Mesquite.  You asked me to follow up with Jacob, which I did however I got no response from him.  I reached out to Professor Moore, and she was a bit perplexed as to why I didn't get a response.  I'm sure Jacob like myself has a very busy schedule so I understood.  If the story was good enough for FOX it should have been a go for The Mesquite.  Don Wright has a rare form of blood cancer, that is not curable, but he takes a pill that has helped him keep his cancer stable.  He is attempting to run 100 marathons in all 50 states.  He just completed the NY Marathon, and the R&R Marathon was his 77th, all while battling cancer!
