You are to follow a Mesquite photographer from the time the photographer sets off for an assignment to the time the photographer finishes with the cutline information and put the photo in a proper place and ready for the Mesquite to use. You have till Sept. 16.

You will be given contacts to the Mesquite photographers. You job is mainly to observe. You are not expected to take a lot of photos of the event/people the Mesquite photographer is covering.
However, you are required to take 2 shots to document the photographer while working at the scene and submit to the Blog.

You will need to write a min 250 word report do not exceed 300 words on this experience with the following: 1. Describe the purpose of the assignment. 2. Describe and document some major steps the photographer carried out during the assignment. Such as preparation, shooting method and strategy, ways of getting cutline information, procedure of post-production (works done at in the newsroom).
3. Describe what you have learned from this observation.

The report is due Sept. 16. Turn in the paper by email and post the 2 photos on the blog. Note: You can shadow a staff photographer as a group, but each group should not exceed more than 2 persons. Check with the staff photographer to see if the assignment is suitable to follow.
